FORESTRY
THEMATIC
Our work in forest management is aimed at averting the worrying trend towards rapid forest encroachment, unsustainable utilization of forest resources, deteriorating river water quality.
In a society reliant on farming and tourism to sustain livelihoods, natural resources are bound to be adversely depleted and affected, causing drastic environmental degradation in the long run.
Kenya is highly vulnerable to impacts of climate change and clean energy, hence the need to reduce vulnerability and build resilience of people and nature to the current and anticipated effects of climate change.
Centuries of overuse and neglect threaten to leave us with vast blue deserts. Pollution – from plastics to oil spills to agrochemicals, and many more – also harms nature and contaminates food chains.
